Distracted Driving Awareness
April is Distracted Driving Awareness month which is a nationwide effort to help drivers recognize the dangers of distracted driving and eliminate the preventable deaths that it can cause. Cell phones, dashboard touchscreens, voice commands and other in-vehicle technologies pose a threat to our safety. If you receive an urgent cell phone call/text, or a two-way radio call while driving, pull off the road to a safe area and park your vehicle before you respond. The consequences of these many distractions are not worth the convenience they offer.
Please see the FREAS SharePoint page under Safety for more information on this topic.
