Chemical labels have special colors, which represent the following hazards:
Blue – health
Red – fire
Yellow – reactivity.

The numbers in each color represent the following hazard levels:
0 – minimal
1 – slight
2 – moderate
3 – serious
4 – severe.

The white part of the label can show different types of information. On National Fire Protection Association labels, white indicates information such as acid, corrosive, radioactive, etc. On Hazardous Material Identification System (HMIS) labels, white indicates the kind of PPE to use.

Read the labels first and then consult the MSDS if there are any more questions.
