Gov. Carney and President Trump have ordered the United States and Delaware flags at state buildings be flown at half-staff in memory of Rep. John Lewis of Georgia. Flags are to be returned to full staff Monday morning, July 20.

On Memorial Day, we pay tribute to those fallen heroes who have died while protecting our country.
To honor the dedication and service of all of our service members Governor Carney requests that the proper protocol for the U.S. Flag Code be followed this Memorial Day. Flags are to be lowered to half-staff on Monday morning, May 25 for Memorial Day and then returned to full-staff at noon.
State buildings and facilities that are staffed on Monday are requested to observe this protocol.
